When you create a Reelix account, we collect your name, email address, username, date of birth, and profile picture. This information is necessary to provide our services and personalise your experience.

1.2 Content You Create

We store the videos, captions, hashtags, and other content you upload or create on Reelix. This content is processed to deliver it to other users and to power our recommendation algorithm.

1.3 Usage Data

We automatically collect information about how you interact with the app, including videos you watch, likes you give, accounts you follow, search queries, and time spent on the platform.

1.4 Device & Technical Data

We collect device identifiers, IP address, operating system version, app version, language settings, and crash reports to maintain and improve the app.

1.5 Payment Information

When you withdraw earnings via PayPal, we collect your PayPal email address. We do not store full credit card numbers or banking details — payment processing is handled by PayPal.

2.1 Service Delivery

We use your information to operate Reelix, authenticate your account, process gem earnings and withdrawals, deliver content to your feed, and send notifications.

2.2 Personalisation

Your activity data helps us recommend relevant videos and creators, personalise your For You feed, and surface trending content in your area.

2.3 Safety & Security

We use data to detect and prevent fraud, spam, abuse, and violations of our Community Guidelines. This includes automated systems and human review.

2.4 Communications

We may send you transactional emails (withdrawal confirmations, account alerts) and, where you have opted in, promotional communications about new features.

2.5 Analytics & Improvement

Aggregated and anonymised usage data helps us understand how the app is used, identify bugs, and prioritise new features.

3.1 Public Content

Videos you post, your username, profile picture, follower count, and public likes are visible to all Reelix users and may be indexed by search engines.

3.2 Service Providers

We share data with trusted third-party providers including Google Firebase (database & authentication), PayPal (payments), and analytics partners — all bound by strict data-processing agreements.

3.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Reelix, its users, or the public.

3.4 Business Transfers

If Reelix is acquired or merges with another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data is subject to a different privacy policy.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law (e.g., financial records for tax purposes may be kept for up to 7 years).

5.1 Access & Portability

You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you at any time by contacting support@reelix.app.

5.2 Correction

You can update most of your profile information directly in the app. For other corrections, contact our support team.

5.3 Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from the app settings. This will permanently remove your profile, videos, and earnings history.

5.4 Opt-Out

You can opt out of promotional emails using the unsubscribe link in any email. You can also adjust notification preferences in the app.

Our website (reelixapp.com) uses essential cookies to function correctly and analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to understand visitor behaviour. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. The Reelix mobile app does not use browser cookies but may use device advertising identifiers which you can reset or opt out of through your device settings.

Reelix is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact support@reelix.app.

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption for data in transit, encrypted storage for sensitive fields, access controls, and regular security audits. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated date, and by sending an in-app notification or email where appropriate. Your continued use of Reelix after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
